Children deserve a happy childhood ☀️🌊
Today Petro Petrovych Shpuhanych, head of the International Diplomatic Humanitarian Mission of the OSCE, saw the children of the “My New Family” family home off on an unforgettable ten-day trip to sunny Greece.
During the trip, the children will relax on the island of Corfu, visit Thessaloniki, and see holy sites and churches where they can learn about Greece's spiritual and cultural heritage.
For children growing up without parental care, trips like this have special meaning. They are more than a holiday by the sea: they offer a chance to feel cared for, see new places, make friends, regain strength, experience genuine joy and create lifelong memories.
Representatives of the International Diplomatic Humanitarian Mission of the OSCE based in Prague, Czech Republic, Ivan Yurash and Tetiana Sheketa, also helped organize the trip. They provided financial support for the children's travel.
Special thanks go to Fedor Volos and his son Oleksandr Volos, who helped take the children from Uzhhorod to Budapest Airport. They will also meet the children at the airport on their return and bring them safely back to Uzhhorod.
Supporting orphans and children without parental care is an important part of the Mission's work. We believe every child should have the chance to forget their difficulties for at least a few days, experience the joy of childhood and know that people around them truly care.
The children can look forward to a warm sea, sunshine, interesting excursions, visits to holy sites, active recreation, new friendships and countless happy moments.
We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this good cause and helped make the trip possible.
